I've been meaning to write to you for many years now. I was prompted to do so today after I unearthed my sales receipt and notes on the purchase of this treasured painting.
I acquired your painting in Feb., 2007 at the Trinity School art sales event in Atlanta. A friend of mine attended and called me saying there was a paining that looked just like our dog,"Baby;" and that I should hurry on over to buy it. I thought to myself that I doubt it; and how well could my friend remember exactly what Baby looks like? But she was insistent, so I came out. It was magic. Not only did the painting look exactly like Baby, including the stubby tail and white markings, but I could feel her personality in the image, as well. You could not have done any better had she modeled for you. And, I was curious about whether there was another dog that inspired you for this painting.
Meanwhile, although Baby passed away at the age of 16 in 2011, she lives on in this painting on our wall in the breakfast room.
So, I wanted to thank you for your wonderful work and let you know how meaningful it is to us.
